LS 460
2013 CLS550 or LS 460 shopping
Hi everyone, new here and have a 2009 LS460 ready to trade. I have enjoyed the Lexus experience but the CLS is intriguing. I know the new LS is on it's way but I was looking for a little bit of luxury and sport this time around and they seemed to be priced the same. I have read reviews and watched some youtube reviews. My question is has anyone compared the two already and your thoughts, thank you.
P.S. Would be my first MB, have owned Porsche, Jaguar, BMW, and Lexus

I personally think you will find the CLS alot more exciting to drive and look at. I tend to find Lexus very boaring cars. Smooth and comfy but no real driving experience to me. The new CLS is out of this world and the BI Turbo engine is to die for. If you have not driven one yet go do it!

Two different animals, but I only have the 2012 LS Sport to compare to. The LS is a solid car but even the sport drives wallowy and feels like you have to toss it to be sporty. This may change with the new body controllers though.
One thing that hasnt changed much is the engine in the LS. The CLS's engine is a torque monster. The difference is night and day between the LS. The CLS has guts at all ranges, LS is adequate.
I would say fit and finish is on par with the Lexus. Everything feels solid, but the driving dynamics on the CLS were sportier all around. I too came from a Lexus, and wanted luxurious but sporty. I got it in this car.

The rear seat in the CLS is an afterthought, try getting in and out of the car in the rear. The LS is a true 4 door sedan, the CLS isn't, your comparison is off. Do you need a car with consistent use of passengers in the rear seat?

seems like you need to add the Mercedes Benz Marque to your list of nice cars![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
