New CLS owner needing help
Hi everyone, just a quick question, I have taken delivery of a 2012 CLS, but I have a slight problem. Once my car goes into reverse, I don't know how to make Drivers door mirror dim automatically.
Would anyone know how to fix this, it is bugging me!
thanks

2013 CLS250 CDI
Hi, nice to see someone else with a CLS250. I have only just got mine 2 days ago and have not noticed if it does it or not. I will have a look.
UPDATE: mine does not dip and I cannot find a setting so looks like it does not have this feature. Surprising.

you need to have the side-to-side mirror switch on the armrest set to the passenger side. It won't work if it's set to the driver's side. I just leave mine set to passenger unless I need to adjust the driver's mirror. Then, it works fine. (Mine's a '12)

Just tried that and does not seem to work, I have a 13. Also with reversing camera if that makes a difference.

If you haven't already done so, suggest you save the dipped setting you like in memory. I seem to remember the car didn't come with a dip setting per-programmed as they used to.
Mine has the camera.

I don't have the memory function, however, the car does come with the auto dimming feature. It's still not working for myself. Just curious, as it worked on my previous E class (2011).
I dip the mirror when in reverse, then I just manually to it back to eye level.
Not entirely sure, if anyone can suggest anything else. Much appreciated.
Cheers
