The "little car" at startup

I have about 1,500 miles on the car now and notice that at startup, a picture of the front end appears on the display inside the speedo. I don't remember ever seeing it before! All you guys have it as well?

I have noticed that after you get in car that if you fumble around and do not start the car right away the speedo display goes away. Now start the car the "little car" front end appears. If you just get in and start right away it does not show up. I have no idea why this does this. I also noticed that the front end is not from the 2012 but from older model CLS. I have had my CLS since August of 2011 and have 25,000 miles.

if you have keyless go, which I assume all of us do, the car image is off the screen by the time you open the door & sit down

Great observation on the front end! I think it's a keeyless go issue and LETO said. Going to peek in window next few times as opening it up.

I paid attention today. I always open my rear door behind the drivers seat first to put my lap top bag down. I saw the little car (non sport euro front), it was off the screen and mileage was displayed by the time I opened the front door. Same with command the MB star is usually off the screen by the time I sit down.

I have had keyless go since the mid 2000's so.......I have been missing a lot

haha, I finally looked myself today and noticed that it pops up for the first second that car is either unlocked or simply opened. It disappears so fast, that I couldn't capture it with my iPhone camera.
