What part of Waranty is voided with ecu tune
Went to my MB dealer today to inquire about the Renntech tune on my cls and they flat out told me they will not do it and if I did you will void the Waranty for just about every part of the car. What parts would it void if push comes to shove and I have a issue. What has been everyone's experience been with these tunes and issues and how have the dealers handled them.

Engine warranty / transmission warranty.
In Sydney Australia many dealers would refuse to clear error codes on a tuned car. In that case they only accept cars which are stock.

In the US, to "void the warranty", I think they have to prove that your modification or failure to follow recommended maintenance was the proximate cause of the problem.
An ECU tune might allow them to suggest that any engine/drivetrain failure was your fault, but the remainder of the warranty would be OK.

Most aftermarket modifications can ONLY void your warranty (in the US) if the manufacturer can PROVE that such mods were the root cause of a problem.
