Too bad. Way too many ads that are updated daily and few helpful posts.

I was just thinking that the other day.......very little active discussion on this board.....at least in the w218 section.

There are not a lot of CLS owners when compared to say mass produced MB's like C and ClA's. Also, the CLS is not a car that fits most people's lifestyle. I am a future ClS or CLA buyer next year and I am seeing how it is hard to find owners input on these cars.
You are so right. All the new threads since your post are ads.
Agreed.....but half the reason it's dead is because all the ads make people not want to post.
BMW forums I'm part of are much better. I'm part of the M6 forum there and there are 10x as many posts (and probably 1/100 of the amount of M6's than CLS).
MBWorld has gone way downhill....

Going to have to revive some older posts to get some action in this section.

You are right. However, anyone buying an M car is a real enthusiast. A CLS is an E class with a different shell. M = AMG, avery different car and different snack bracket.Originally Posted by mjr24

Wheel advertisements in such excess are a turn off.

I agree about the wheel ads, they are excessive....Actually, every thing pointed out in the previous posts I agree with.Originally Posted by Benzfooled

As soon as I bought the CLS, I joined the forum and I thought it would be active, but this is dead. I was once thinking about buying a Bentley Continental GT and I lurked around the 6speed forum for that vehicle and it was very active, and remember, that's a Bentley so the production volume of the car is probably 1/50 of the CLS.
A final thought, benzworld seems to be a LITTLE more active in the CLS section.

Not to hijack the thread, but I love my CLS! Not one single problem in the two months that I have owned it. Looking forward to a reliable car

When I got my CLS back in April, I tried posting some pictures, only to be met with some snarky comments by another member. Not exactly an inviting first experience. Since then I have found little to keep me interested. But at the end of the day, I love my car, and what goes on on a forum has no relevance to my car experience. And since I've had no problems in th first 8,000 miles, I haven't had a need to ask questions. Maybe we just don't need the validation for our purchase decision that BMW owners need ...

Guys, keep posting. There are jackasses around on every forum, this one has several. However, post about your experiences, pics, and around the CLS which are awesome cars, and have a distinct design that kicked off the whole "4 door coupe" craze that every other car manufacturer is following. That says a hell of a lot within itself.
I had a CLS 500 for about 6 years, only one issue with front passenger strut. The rest were wear/tear items.
The CLS 63 has been great also, wear/tear stuff as well, thermostat, serpentine belt, about it.

Yea I've been disappointed that this section is freakin dead! I was wondering what was up with that.
