Sport suspension vs. Comfort suspension

I'm curious if the lively crowd here has any information on the difference in ride height between the CLS sport suspension (steel spring) and the comfort suspension "for elegance" (steel spring)

The sport suspension comes along with the option 321 wheel package -

Comfort suspension for elegance comes as standard

I've heard so far that the ride heights are about the same and it is only a matter of different shock valving..

Anyone know?

When I cycle between comfort and sport, I don't notice any height change, nor hear the air working. It's when I shut the car off, that's when you hear the air and height changes. Valving seems to be the extent.

Just when cycling through the modes? Maybe I'm not paying close enough attention. Usually car is kept in sport at all times, only in winter I put it on comfort, cause of rough roads. I'm going to cycle today and play close attention!

No, let me clarify - this isn't a mode that you change - if you look up the option codes 485 and 486. 485 is 'comfort suspension for elegance' and 486 is 'sport suspension'

Typically this denotes a different spring rate and spring length. In the C-class line (and others i'm sure) the sport model 321 come with suspension that is visibly lower than the non-sport models.

Gauging from pics online, its so far hard to tell with the CLS -

Sport lowers the car visibly fro the comfort setting; a good bit too!

Is that a option in the SL550, I do not have those options in my 2014 CLS550.
