Help needed! Door mirror glass replacement..

Help needed! Door mirror glass replacement..
Hi guys,
can any1 help me, I need to replace just the glass of my passenger side wing mirror, but in order to do this do I need to take off the door mirror cover, or can I just pull of the mirror as shown in the how to video for a c class? I would be very grateful if someone could help me
