2012 CLS550 Options Confusion?
I've found a couple of good candidates, but it's getting a bit confusing comparing what features/options each car actually is equipped with.
First, all three sellers have confirmed their cars have the active contour driver's seat. And this was verified for each car by the photos of the seat showing the seat control panel next to the center console (not to mention a buddy lives close to one of the sellers and checked the car out/took it for a spin and said "the seat is supercool! it grabs you in corners!" LOL). And all three cars have the AMG wheels.
The confusion seems to be around whether or not any of them have any driver's assistance features like blind spot monitors, self-parking (versus just parking sensors front and rear), lane keeping assist or lane departure warning, etc
for "Car A" - this seller claims their car has blind spot monitors and "self parking rear parking assist - this car will park itself!". They aren't sure if it has lane keeping/departure features or not?
Another seller (a Benz dealer, who I would have thought should know this stuff 100%) with "Car B" says their car "has Parktronic, but not sure about the self parking feature...and the car has the Driving Assist package which includes blind spot monitoring and lane keeping". So is Parktronic just the front and read parking sensors but not self-parking? And if driving assist is what gives you blind spot monitors, doesn't that mean "Car A" must also have lane keeping?
The third seller with "Car C" claims their car has "parking sensors front and rear but no self parking and does not have driving assist - only the Premium Package"
Can anyone shed some light to help me sort this out? All three have pretty comparable mileage and pricing, but are different colors. Of course, the color combo I like best is with "Car C" which seems to be the most bare bones.
"Car A" is: WDDLJ9BB1CA053887
"Car B" is: WDDLJ9BB4CA021709
"Car C" is: WDDLJ9BB5CA050572
So what exactly IS "active park assist"? The seller of Car A is the only one saying "this car can park itself!" (taken right from their ad LOL). The seller of Car B didn't seem to understand what exactly "Parktronic" is that they say the car has (this may be a language thing as they are not native English speakers), and with Car C the seller only knows it has "front and rear parking sensors".
I don't have lane keeping assist either but the steering wheel does vibrate when you are changing lanes without using turn signals. We do have the blind spot monitoring though and I find that feature quite useful.
