Ambient Light in footwell of CLS550

Ambient Light in footwell of CLS550
just read a thread in the CLA forum about ambient light not showing up in the footwell when it is indeed supposed to:

so, out of curiosity i checked my CLS to see if the ambient lighting shows up in both footwells (driver's and passenger's) and it does not.
what is odd is several pictures online do show the CLS with ambient light in footwell.
so, can a few of you check to see if you have ambient lighting in your footwell? please advise

good news. driving late at night on the highway I looked down the footwells and did notice the ambient light. so it is working. it's just that they are very very subtle
