MPG too high

2012 CLS550
MPG too high
My 2012 CLS550 gets 2.4 MPG while standing still. Come to a stop, reset the trip computer, see 0 MPG, wait a few seconds, boom, 2.4 MPG. Turn the car off and I get 0 MPG. Both the trip info screen and the instantaneous MPG both show 2.4 MPG while standing still.
It has done this since I purchased it (about 2 years ago). When cruising, the MPG does seem too high, so I think it is always adding 2.4 to whatever the real MPG is.
I have tried going through the engineering menus in the computer but found nothing relevant.
Anyone know anything about this? I haven't asked the MB dealership yet, but plan to the next time the car is in.
