CEL - Failed Fuel Injector
Loaned my 2013 CLS550 4matic to my dad to go out of town and he called today saying check engine light was on. I had him take it to AutoZone to read the codes and he wrote back that they said "post catalyst fuel trin system too rich bank 2. explanation: failed fuel pressure regulator. Probably cause failed fuel injector". How serious is this and does it require immediate attention or can it be driven 300 miles back home so I can take it to my normal dealer? He is dealing/taking care of his dying mother so he has enough on his mind without having to worry about my car. I plan on driving his car down tomorrow night (which was in the shop when he needed it). Is this something that fuel injector cleaner could help? Tough time for this to happen. Thanks for any help!!!

I spoke with my local MB Service Manager and he said it should be fine to drive home and to schedule an appointment sometime next week and they would go over it. And no need to add anything to the gas tank.

It.has about 55,000 miles. My dad went ahead and put a bottle of Lucas fuel treatment to a full tank of gas and then another bottle right before filling up again and CEL light went out and hasn't come back on since. I haven't decided if I'm going to take it in to dealership right away or just wait and see if it comes back on.
