19" tire size help

Purchased a set of Forged OEM 19" E63 Rims for my 2014 CLS550 4MATIC.

FRONT WHEELS: 19 X 9" OFFSET 37MM. PART# A212 401 2702.
REAR WHEELS: 19 X 10" OFFSET 47MM. PART# A212 401 2802

Due to the rough NYC streets I was hoping to go with 255/40/19 Fronts and 295/35/19 rears. Does anyone know if this setup will work on the CLS with no issues? If not what would be the correct tire size's for this wheel setup? Any info is appreciated.

Stock tire sizes on a 2014 are with 19" wheels are:

Front: 255/35R19 ET 35 (ish....this seems to vary)
Rear: 285/30R19 ET 48

So with the fronts, you are looking at an 1" taller in front and close to 1.5" taller in the rear. Width wise, you are looking at no difference in the front and only about .4" in the rear.

The offsets are close enough that there shouldn't be a problem there as well.

Front:

Rear:

I know your streets well, and man are they rough...I think Michigan and NY try to outdo each other with crappy roads.

I think ultimately you shouldn't have a problem....someone smarter than me may disagree though.

Thank you very much for your input and that useful info. I made the mistake of throwing 20's on my w212. Although 20" wheels fit and look amazing on the CLS I'm trying to keep the car smooth, comfortable and not have to worry about catching a flat everywhere I go.
