Help with light please.

Hi there,
New owner of a CLS 550, love the car. I was cleaning it today and took it for a spin. I noticed my middle console compartment light wont turn off when it closes. Is this normal? Anyone have any suggestions i am baffled. Hoping someone can help. I have attached a picture of how it looks. Also quick question in regards to my CPO warranty, my MB warranty expires in may and CPO kicks in. If i gift the car to my son, can i call mercedes benz and transfer that CPO Warranty into his name? Any help would be appreciated.

I think this is normal. My light is on any time the interior lights are on as well... it's not controlled by whether the bin is open or closed.

I see does your light gleam through the crack?

Mine is also on, I think its normal and probably goes off once you lock the door and the car powers down. I say that because I've never had any battery drain issues and it doesn't go off when I turn the car off. It does show through the crack but I've never noticed it until you posted.

Light is normal mine looks exactly the same.
As far as the CPo be careful as different states have different laws about this.

In Massachsuetts i bought my CLS with extended warranty from a private owner and this way it was transferable. Had the seller traded it in to a dealer this warrnty would not be transferable and he would get paid out for it.
The extend warranty is from Mercedes btw not some third party one.

Check before to make sure so you dont get screwed
