14 cls550 Front right airmatic exploded
So guys here's what happened today.
I had the car jacked up on the fornt to paint the calipers. After I was done I dropped the car back from the jack stands and noticed that the front airmatic suspension did not depress it was all the way up. I thought starting the car will cause the airmatic suspension to drop to it's normal hight. When I started the car up I got a message saying wait car raising, thought that was strange because it should be dropping. After about 3 minutes of the car being on the right front airmatic bag exploded. I think it was because the pump push too much air in the bags.
Anyone else had this problem before?
The driver side suspension is currently all the way up also I don't want to start the car again and have that one explode also. Is there a way to release some air from the bags?
The car has lowering links and I did adjust it just a little bit when I was down there.

I've never heard that one before.
Sometimes, after an airmatic car is jacked with its wheels off the ground, it will sink when the wheels first touch the ground as the jacks are lowered. But after the car is started, then the Airmatic regains and retains its normal height.
What year is your vehicle? Mileage?

It's 2014 cls550 4matic. Only has 29k miles
Yes I jacked it up a few times before and every time it goes lower and then raises back up. It was very strange this time when I saw the vehicle did not go down at all.

Is the vehicle under warranty by any chance? That's a head scratcher! You can appeal to MBUSA to ask them to cover it under warranty.

I only bought a little under 3 months ago and thankefully it's still covered under the 90 day warranty. It's at the dealership where I bought it right now. Hopefully the could figure out something because it's not a MB dealership. Somehow the previous owner voided the manufacturer warranty, so it's not covered by MB warranty.

Let us know what happened, since i had my car jacked up the other day to get a tire replaced, and everything is normal with the suspension, did it trip any errors?
