What is option code J8A Remote Start?
Hey all,
It's now cold in New England and I was just wondering if my three week old 15' CLS could remote start using the keyfob. I tried pressing the panic button but the car didn't start. The VIN lookup shows this code J8A "DSM STAR1 FBS4 REMOTE STARTABLE". Anyone know what that really means? Does that really only pertain to the mbrace/me service? I'd like to confirm.

remote start app is only available in europe, however the mercedes me has remote start and it works at least on our 2021 e450.
I think I saw remote start on my cls550 build sheet, but we never found it on the car. Dont have mercedesME on that car.
