Question in regards to these metal pieces behind my rotors.

Hey guys quick question I just noticed these metal pieces behind my rotors and before I end up taking to the dealership I want to make sure if this is normal..

All good thats the rotor shield.
It serves a few functions actually. Protects your car from water dust and rocks. It also directs cooling air over the rotors and pads.

Nothing to worry about

This is the first time I see them extended this much. Do they move/retract ?

They do not. I just peeked at both my C class and CLS and it looks the same
