Greetings from Texas (2014 CLS550)
New member here, but I’m on my third MB.
Quick question, if I may. My CPO warranty will expire in April.
The local dealer gave me these options: (unlimited mileage, no deductible) 1 additional year: $3588, or 2 additional years: $4451.
This will be my first time to extend a warranty, if I’m keeping the car. I do like this model a lot, but I’m not attached.
should I extend the warranty? Trade the car for another CPO? Or keep the car without extending the warranty?
Thank you in advance!
Respectfully,
A.
What do you want to do? How many miles are on the vehicle, and what model year is it?
The prices quoted seem steep. You are being offered premium pricing for unlimited mileage and zero deductible. In practical terms, you drive a finite number of miles per year. What has that been for you, over the past 3 years?
Ask your dealer for a coverage option with fixed mileage and a deductible you are willing to pay, for normal things that happen to all vehicles as they age.
$3,588 seems a bit high. If the car is in good mechanical condition, I personally would pass. I noticed you are in TX, if you are in DFW area, take your car to Auto Hans, these guys work on MB only and are very good and reasonably priced. You could ask them to check out the car and give you an idea on condition of your car.
I went with Casandra and you MUST purchase BEFORE your CPO expires.
