Replacement Key Cost

Hi, as we know, replacement keys are pretty expensive to buy from Mercedes. The quote I got from a dealer ran up towards $720. So, can I just buy a key from amazon/ebay and take that key to the dealer to have them program it? Does anyone have a different workaround?

No work around, call several dealers to comparison shop.

2017 GLE350 4MATIC
I paid just north of $300 for a W166 GLE350 key fob + programming + deactivation of the missing key. This was about 8 months ago in the midwest US.
