I also honestly believe that they gave me a little more juice then advertised as well, car pulls like a train! This car is an unbelievable daily driver, and I couldn't imagine driving it without the tune. I am also about 1.5years on the tune and no problems so far.

Good luck
The numbers they provide in the tune are somewhat conservative. If you request for an "aggressive tune," they can make a few changes, for the same price, and bump the numbers up a little. I forgot to ask EC during my Stage 2 lol.

I will run mine on the dyno only when I get the Water Methanol Kit installed lol

After comparing all of the big name tuners (Eurocharged, Pressuretech, Renntech, Weistec, OE Tuning, AMR Performance, AMS Performance) I went with Weistec. All of these companies seem to have great reputations tuning high end luxury cars, however Weistec was my choice for 3 reasons:

- They offer the most horsepower on a stage 1 tune
- They offer more components for the CLS than the others (intakes, anti-surge, 2 step colder spark plugs, 722.9 trans pan and gasket, etc.)
- PHENOMENAL pricing

I lucked out in another aspect with Weistec; their east coast dealer is only an hour drive away from me, in Orlando, FL. There's also a Eurocharged location in Orlando. Another thing I really like about Weistec is that they tune your base map, which you need to send to them, rather than just send you a generic off the shelf map. You can also add a burble tune to your liking. Can't wait to get mine!!!

THIS!

I've been on Weistec for over 30k now and it's still a beast when I punch down into sport mode. Destroyed a Q8 off the line the other day. Hope his kids are o.k.

Thinking of a tune for my 2020 G550...time to look into these options, and if a site sponsor wants to send me a price with a military discount (if applicable) feel free.

2013 CLS550 4Matic OE Tuned
OE tuning has a sale, check them out. I've had their tune for 2 years zero problems and as much power as you'd want. Email them, for pricing and make sure you get a handheld so you can change back to Factory if you go to the dealer. They do have a post here about the sale ending. Love it and it even increases my MPG. Marv

DigitalDisaster it has been a couple of years since your post. I recently picked up a 2013 CLS550 with only 21k miles on it (24k now) and I am strongly leaning toward Weistec. Do you have anything more to say after a couple of years of running this tune? Did you get anything else from them?

Thanks in advance!

Nothing new to report, the car continues to be dead reliable and an absolute blast to drive. A few months ago I had it to my mechanic (Eurosport) for the recommended new plugs @ 60K miles and the owner was amazed at how fast this car is. He drives a Porsche Panamera GTS and said my car would easily dust it

2008 CLS550
Are any of the Weistec sponsors still active on the forum? Recently picked up a 2008 CLS550 5.5 and was considering a tune.

I've been running the Weistec tune for a couple of years now. Absolutely problem free and the car is way faster than you expect. I took mine directly to them in SoCal. Took maybe 30 minutes and instant power.

You need the newer M278 twin turbo motor to get anything from a tune. The NA M273 5.5 will not benefit from an aftermarket tune.

I recently both a cls550 and interested in the weistec stage 1 tune, just worried it won’t be as quick as a eurocharged or amr tuned 550. Would the difference between these tuners be negligible? I probably would even notice a difference in power correct? I don’t want to get the tune and have regret after not picking the other company.

I have not seen another tuner advertising higher gains for a bone stock M278 than Weistec - maybe there's a new one out there that does, but I'm not aware.

Yea but when u look at Dyno sheets from the different companies eurocharged and amr Dyno a lot higher than weistec even tho they don’t claim as much power on their website, lot of the time it’s way off which confused me.

I didn't know that. I haven't personally seen dyno sheets of any of these tunes with the possible exception of Renntech.
