'13 CLS550 GPS Antenna

Can anyone help me with where the GPS antenna is and if this is a DIY?

The GPS location is messed up and isn't picking up any satellites.

On the '13, there is panel from where I think I can access the shark fin, from inside. I saw antennas online, but, wasnt sure if that is where the GPS was.

Has anyone else had a GPS issue?

I don't think there is a splitter like I had on my E500.....

Thank you for your help.

Thank you Konigstiger! I was looking on the other side of the trunk for the spiltter! Thanks for the picture. Huge help.

Any ideas if the antenna change is a DIY? That is what was blown on 2 other MBs I have had.

I will look at the splitter to make sure it isnt gummed up.

You saw my posts about the CPO..... I dont want to go back to the dealer for anything anymore.

Steps to replace GPS antenna

Issue - GPS was way off and showing me in a different state!

Recognition - many many thanks to konigstiger for his help

Need - antenna, trim removing tool, dental floss, sealant and torx screwdrivers.

Tips - fakra connectors have a pin to push to remove. Need trim tool to pry the fin off.

Instructions - click open two tabs with trim tool from towards the rear glass. Disconnect fakra’s. Snap one more tab close to the roof light. Use torx screwdriver to loosen retainer clips.

take floss and work it around the fin. Patience is key here. Slow. Using trim tool pry off fin. Take old antenna out.

place new one in and go inside and tighten retainer screw. Attach all fakra’s.

i used a lot of goo be gone. Cleaned up fin and roof area best I could. Applied sealant to outline on roof. Did the same on the fin. Place it on.

drive around for a bit and voila. GPS back on.

Take about an hour and half end to end.

I hope this helps someone.
