2012 CLS550 4matic tire max. overall diameter on OEM 19 inch rims

I live in a crazy place were the roads are in worst condition than those of a war zone. I have had 7 blowouts in the past 13 months. Currently I have 255/35R19 (equal to 26inch overall diameter (OD)) at the front and 285/30R19 (equal to 25.7 inch OD) at rear. I need to get some extra sidewall on my tires because I can't continue like this. Does anyone know what is the maximum overall diameter that the car will accept without any rubbing issues when using an OEM 19 inch AMG rim? I would like to have a 28 inch OD. Any type of data that you guys can give me would be appreciated. If you can post some of the tires that some of you have used on these 19 inch rims would help me out.

FYI (OD=Overall Diameter)
I would want to put 255/45R19 (equal to 28 inch OD), ideally if possible 265/45R19 (equal to 28.3 inch OD) in the front
& 285/40R19 (equal to 26.8 OD), ideally if possible

Here is a picture of my rims
Front rims have a 34.5mm positive offset and rear rims have 48mm positive offset
Front: 19x8.5 ET 34.5
Rear: 19x9.5 ET 48

Again any info would be amazing!
Thank you!!

295/45R19 (equal to 28.3 inch OD)

I don’t have an answer but I feel your pain. I’m in NY and have had my left front wheel crack twice. (Both times welded) and the right one had to be trued, along with 1 blowout. I gave up and bought a set of rotary forged wheels in the hopes they’re stronger than the poured aluminum OE wheels. Will find out when I get them in a couple weeks.

Short answer - your best bet is to move to 18 inch and put that extra inch to the tire

use this site:

https://tiresize.com/calculator/

One thing to mention - you can go with the biggest tire size you want as long as you keep the OD (per your thread) same size. It will look really weird if the front will bet at 26.8 and the rear at 28.3, Especially if you have airmatic suspension, it might throw codes at you. I have ABC suspension on my other car and many people said that the system will (not maybe, but for sure) return error codes when you start the car, or, in your case, 4matic might not work. Something to keep in mind.
Also it seems to me that you've measured a bit wrong the overall tire size. Any way around, use the site above and you'll get all the information you want, besides the actual fitment. For that you might need to research separately, on site below, they show a pretty good chart with all sizes that fit your car. Enter on the left all the information about your car:

https://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Tire-Size-Calculator

Here what it shows for front:

and rear:

Regards.
