Vibration even after brake replacement
I’ve replaced my rear rotors and pads on my 14 CLS550 4matic. Before the replacement I had a vibration in the rear when I hit the brakes at about 70mph. I took it to be warped rotors since they have been the second set of rear pads and they were due to replace. I put new cross drilled rear rotors and new ceramic pads for the rear and did complete brake flush. So now still getting vibration at about 50mph now. No vibration at all on acceleration or when accelerate and cost just when press brake pedal. Any ideas on where on what the problem might be. I’m unsure why this is occurring. I did the same job on the front and had no problems.

Does the vibration come from the seat or the steering wheel? Seat is rear, steering is front end. If its rear, did you torque the lugs in sequence? I usually start with the lug opposite of the screw that holds the rotor on. You can use a dial gage to check the run out of the rotors. If you replaced the rotors, and there is wobble, I would check the matting surface of the rotor to hub. Any little bit of rust will throw it off enough to where you can't eyeball it but you will have vibrations though. Clean the rust with a wire brush and get it all off. This goes for front or rear behind the rotors, depending on where you are feeling the shakes. Second, if you are feeling it in the steering and you've done the above, I'd also check the wheel bearings. See if there is any play. That can also cause vibrations, sometimes only when braking, but usually applies to the front. When breaking, the load goes to the front and you get that. Any others may have better insight than me though. I'm not versed in Benz's as much as regular cars(Cadillacs).
