Traction Control in Snow

Was driving in the snow, car slipped a bit and I saw the orange traction control sign flash. So I was wondering what this would be indicating, just the car slipping, and it's no big deal at all? Also, would there be a way to turn off the traction control (I know this is unsafe, just wondering if there's a button or so for it)?

Driving our CLS550 in the snow took a little reprogramming of my brain from the old school turn into the spin routine. The car has a mind of it's own and does not like you trying to out drive it. When turning on slippery surface just keep driving as normal as possible even when you feel it slipping. the car will do everything it needs to keep the car on track and not spin.

The orange light just says the car is doing it's thing.

You can turn it off two ways. Go thru the dash menu and you will see it in one of the menus as you scroll left or right. I forgot what its call, but its three letters and something. I think it is in the same screen for the tire pressures. Click it and it you can select disable. Second way is go put it in dyno mode. I forgot how to do it off the top of my head, it involves holding some buttons. But dyno mode will disable it too. But with that, you would have to do it every time the car was started and to me is kind of a hassle. But it totally disables all the nannies. YouTube how to put your car into dyno mode. Plenty of vids out there.

Just hit the right or left arrow button on left side of steering wheel and click three times until you see driveassist and click to open and go do to esp and turn that to disabled. Wouldn’t recommend doing in the snow, my car acts up even in the rain but mine is rwd.
