Removing my Eorocharged tune

Removing my Eorocharged tune
So I was driving the other day at highway speeds. Had just finished accelerating getting onto the highway and was now at cruising speed. All of a sudden my car jerks. It felt like some one zapped it w a laser gun. I look down at the speedo and the car is slowing down. That’s odd because my foot is still on the gas. Luckily I am able to make it over to the shoulder. At this point the check engine light and all other warning lights in the car have gone off. I’m now cruising at 10 mph and make it to the next exit. I Debate pulling over and turning the car off and back on again but don’t want to risk it not turning back on as one of the warnings is telling me car is inoperable. I finally make it home, remember car won’t go faster than 10mph, and I pull into driveway. Shut it off and turn it back on. It does turn on but check engine light is not going away and neither are all the other warnings. I call EC and they recommend removing the tune to see if light clears. I do that and car returns to normal, meaning it is now back to factory.
I speak to them and they analyze my file and say all is normal. That it’s my car. Not buying it. I remove the tune and my car clears all issues and drives fine but you think it’s the car? I’m not going to risk my life in this car for some extra power. I could have lost power and if a semi was behind me I could have caused a serious accident. I don’t have confidence in the tune and I’ve decided it’s not worth it. If you have followed my other modding threads well - there goes another $1283. So disappointed. I’m def not messing w this car anymore. Seems everything I try to do to it spits back in my face. Rant over.

That really sucks! You seem to be 'snakebit' with everything that you've done to your CLS! I would put the Tune back on to see if it misbehaves again, if so, get back with Euro tune and get help. Marv

I have a scanning tool. I will pull the codes down and see but regardless of what they say I am not putting the tune back on. Not worth it to me if ai’m going to drive around w doubt in my mind
I did speak to EC and they don’t really want to accept that it could be on their end so we came to an lopsided agreement which does not favor me at all.
I expected more from them. They said they have 40 cars running this file and its only me having an issue. Well, it won’t be me that hits a pole at high speed for running their product. Rather be stock.
Either way, I’m no longer tuned.

That’s my biggest thing before I pull the trigger on a tune, I’m worried about something messing up the reliability. Almost just tempted to keep this stock and just save the money on the tune and other upgrades for down payment on an amg. The car is functioning normal now without the tune ? No lights or anything ?

very scary! but also, realistically, you could just be experiencing that one of one issue unfortunately... alot of us have had a tune for a while, me the past 2 years, and it has been amazing with zero issues.. sucks to be in that situation and i could see it causing doubt moving forward but dont lost hope as it still is a blast to have!
