Purchased the Echo Auto unit for under $30 and did a stealth install with no cables or the unit itself in sight. I used Velcro tape to attach it to the inside wall of the armrest storage bin and with the armrest closed, it has no problems picking up voice commands, even with the radio on. Took me less than 5 minutes to set up with the car's bluetooth and it works perfectly. I also have Carplay installed and now find that I seldom use it as Alexa is far easier than engaging Carplay with the center control wheel. If you need visual maps for GPS, you will still need to use your preferred source to get screen based instructions, however, if audio directions suffice, you can simply ask Alexa to give you directions to wherever and you will be given turn by turn directions over your radio speakers. Music, podcasts, news, Sirius radio by channel or category are all accessible by voice command without touching a button. Very inexpensive add-on well worth the few minutes it takes to install.
