Transmission mount

Hello has anyone replaced there transmission mount on their CLS550. I have a 2014 4-matic and have a slight vibration and when went in for oil change dealer confirmed the transmission mount has collapsed. Is this a DYI job or shop needed.

Thanks for the info, looks like its possible to do supporting the trans, and getting the cross member down. I'll put it up on ramps and see how it looks before ordering the mount.

Had engine mounts and trans mount replaced at 105-110k because it was recommended when I took it for my service b at 100k, my extended warranty actually covered a lot of it, but to answer the question it was replaced on my 2014 RWD

It looks pretty easy to do - just jack up the transmission, remove the cross member and unbolt the transmission mount. At some point here I am going to DIY motor and trans mounts and might make a quick video showing how it's done.

The engine mounts look fairly easy to do but I might need to drop the exhaust for clearance, but I am going to do it in my garage on jack-stands -- looks perfectly feasible

Big miss by the dealer

Upon further review, went to a recommended Benz Inde to get a 2nd look at the broken trans mount and also possible front pinion seal. I was told by dealer this needed to be looked at on my scheduled oil change. My repair guy stated yes, to the trans mount but said I had a way bigger problem developing. He showed me my front center propeller shaft was about to break and any moment. The joint had no bearing on one side and the other side was cracked. He said there's no way the dealer could've missed that it was clear as day when looked at the drivetrain. It explained the vibration I was feeling in the seat which I put to being the trans mount. THANKFULLY, I left it at the shop and unfortunately avoided a very large repair from the shaft breaking. I feel there was going to be a bait and switch by dealer, get the shaft out to replace the pinion seal and then tell me "oh now you have to replace the shaft because it broken."
