CLS grille swap
2016 CLS550. Has anyone swapped out the diamond grille for gtr vertical bare grille?
if so, pics and how do you like it?

I got mine on Alibaba for 215 usd, bit cheaper than aliexpress and Star logo was included
my reason asw simple I broke previous one, and cart is old enough (drive it for 5 years) to start experimenting
to install u need to take off whole bumper and cut off lower part (net), few rivets will be needed as well

I think it would look better without the star on the grill.......a single bar with no star also looks sweet

Yours is the silver gt grill right? Without the dense mesh in the back? Also, which exact parts did you have to cut off? Parts off the grill? And where did you attach the rivets. Yours looks like it is a flush fit.

so I found 4 types of GT grill. mine is Silver without frame
u need to cut where red line is
useful tutorials

Okay great thanks, so once you install this one you can't revert back to the original one without purchasing a new grill, since the mesh grill attaches to the grill.? Also what rivet gun did you use? Thanks, I like the look of it alot.

well , I was annoying watcher only, all was done by my mechanic, all the equipmet was his
imo you can revert, cutting it into two pieces do not make it less stiff, its well attached to body anyway - watch since 5:15 W213 movie -

I know man having a hard time looing for clear side marker cant find one. The Star well keep OG for now might change later on..
