Motor noise occurs after cold start before normal Op temp
I've searched far and wide for this and can't find anything close.
At a cold start, as in sitting overnight, a few minutes into driving (low speed) and before engine temperature reaches normal (90C), I am getting a noise, similar to another engine running. Very noticeable and sounds / feels like a bad aux fan, but why at 60C?. However, my aux fan is good. I have been in the car with it running and can hardly hear it.
I have also ruled out ACC since it is off and airmatic compressor since that sounds normal, when it does run.
I'm starting to think ABS pump, but otherwise no reason to suspect that.
2014 CLS550 (M278 motor).
Does anybody else see this?
