Top or bottom?

Just trying to see if anyone actually has pulled the engine out of their car themselves and maybe see if I can get some pointers.

Pretty insightful, just like the endless squeak, rattle, which tuner should I use, how do I make my turbos louder threads. Thank you.

I wish I could help. Is that the turbo shown in your photo? Exactly what happened?

No worries, was just trying to get a heads up before proceeding with dropping it down to swap turbos. Wheel made contact with the housing. Why is unknown yet.

I'm new to these cars so I can't be specific in my advice. However, I generally found that with a lift it's always easier to drop the engine out the bottom than to try and yank it up through the hood. I would drop it just enough to do what you need to.

I thought he meant compressor wheel and housing but I'll let him clarify that. First I've seen this.

That obviously makes more sense but I remain confused as to exactly what caused that.

I haven't pulled my engine but can you give us more details/variables? This is the first stock turbo I've seen fail. Is the ECU stock? Has the car ever been in a major accident? Approx. what mileage between oil changes?

After carefully reading very well detailed thread by dr, ihad a similar hard start problem with my client's car , so I decided to use a heat the ECU using a hairdryer and presto ! Car started on the first crank with no misfire at all but after installing the ecu in its place the car developed misfire again. I realised that when the ECU is in it's installation position, it was getting cooled by the air intake so I removed it , re heated again and all misfire gone.I believe there must be some dry solder joints inside the ecu that need resoldering to solve the issue. Will get back with the results soon.
