Stowage Areas - Eyeglasses Compartment

I love my car and there is only a few features that I consider a pest.
One is that there is no decent place to store my reading/sun glasses. Other than inside the center console.
Besides my paper owners manual, I have an electronic version manual of the generic C218 chassis.
In the latter, page 279 states an "Eyeglasses Compartment" in the drivers side headliner.
My paper manual does not have this.
I am wondering if this compartment is available in other models and possibly could be adapted into my car.
Has anybody seen this stowage compartment?

Thanks,
Rick

Konigstiger, you are the best!
You have solved so many mysteries for me, over the past few cars.
How can I settle up with you? Donations? How about one of those new S580's ?
