I must be dumbb...PLEASE Help!

Hey guys,

When we open the doors, the windows automatically go down by ~1/4 inch.

How can I get them to all stay fully up when the doors are open? I'm getting a tint and want to make sure that the windows are up (while engine fully off etc) so they can work on the tint.

Thanks!

If the window tinting place don't know, I'd be taking it to a place where they do.

I just had my E Coupe ceramic tinted and I was also worried about this. I confirmed with them before and after and they assured me that everything will be fine. Make sure it is a reputable tint shop and you should not have an issue.

Tony,

From what I recall, that's normal for our models, since the doors are frameless. When you close the door, do the windows go back up? Or you mean they stay down no matter what?
If I correctly remember reading, that's a safety feature to break the vacuum or to not break the glass due to difference in pressure created by the open door.

The tint place I took it to had it figured out everything. So i'd agree - take to a place that they know what to do.

There's no way to stop this or to keep the window fully up while the door is open. Professional window tint installers know what to do with these types of vehicles. The windows being frameless also make them easier to work on.
