SECOND TRY: Photo Comparison of my C218 and C257 CLSs
Sorry to viewers of the previous post -- It is embarrassing to start a thread and not have the photo with the text. Apparently my VPN was preventing posting of photos. Here you go:
At the top is my current 2019 Polar White CLS53 (C257) in the Tetons, Wyoming. At the bottom is my 2012 Diamond White Metallic CLS63S (C218) in Kayenta, Utah which I traded for a 2016 GTS. The CLS63S was a beast (11.8 sec. quarter mile) and I think it looks better but it did not have any of the safety features included in the CLS53's Driver Assistance Package. What do you think?
My choice may be biased, but i like the C218 shape and lines better. The newer shape looks like any generic new car today......a KIA Stinger for example.
I swapped to the C257 a few months back and totally agree—it feels more modern inside, especially with the dash layout and tech, but I still miss the aggressive look of the C218.
BTW, the comparison looks great! I recently went through a similar struggle with tech not cooperating when I was setting up a wifi-enabled photo frame to showcase some of my favorite car photos. It's nice to have a dynamic way to display memories, and no issues with VPNs.
