20inch tire help for 2014 CLS 550
This is my second post regarding tire size.
I have bought wheels which the sizes are 20x8.5J in front and 20x9.5J in the back.
The tires I have bought are 255/35/20 for front and 285/30/20 for back.
However, there is a big problem for the front tires.
I went to the tire shop, and when they put on the 255/35/20 tires on the wheels, the tire was hitting the air suspension rubber…
The guy told me to get a 255/30 for front and it won’t hit the suspension.
But I have seen many people rock 255/35/20 for front and 285/30/20 for back.
I want to make this work because if my front tires won’t work, I have to change both front and back.
Also, both wheel offsets were 25et in front and back.
Do you recommend me to increase the offset in front by buying spacers or not?
Or another option would be changing the tires for front to 255/30/20 and for the back 285/30/20, the same aspect ratio for both front and back…
Is this a good idea or not?
Please let me know.
Any help would be appreciated.
