2014 CLS550 Noise Over Bumps
Posted here a few days ago about having axle replaced but hearing a clinking sound over bumps. Today I lifted the hood and found the box that covers the battery was not clipped correctly and the center engine cover is missing a couple clips and was loose.
I removed both and took it for a short drive and while the noise is less (I think) I can’t tell if I should hear absolutely nothing over bumps or if it’s basically the same and something is still off.
Going nuts over this on whether I should just sell this and buy a new car or maybe this isn’t a big deal.
Should the car be silent over bumps?

hearing the sound. I am hesitant tk take it to the dealer as I’m sure they’ll find another $5000 in repairs that may or may not be necessary.

As Siegmann said, it’s probably the sway bar end links. Especially if it’s over uneven road and normally not hearing it on smooth roads. Temperature will also impact this, you’ll hear it more when it’s cold vs warm.

so when I’m pulling in reverse it’s like the car is stretching and I can hear it in my dashboard like a spring
but when I go forward and hit a few bumps I can hear the clink inside the car . I’m guessing the chassis twisting
