Active Blind Spot and Distronic Plus Inoperative Errors After Headlight Replacement
I recently had to replace the headlight on my 2012 CLS550 (W218) because it was broken. After replacing the headlight and reassembling the bumper, I started seeing “Active Blind Spot Inoperative” and “Distronic Plus Inoperative” errors on my dashboard.
I looked online and saw that the blind spot sensors are located at the rear. On the same day I drove the car in heavy rain before starting the headlight repair, so now I’m unsure if the issue might be related to something I missed during the headlight replacement or if it could be due to water exposure from the rain.
Could someone guide me on how to diagnose this? I’m willing to disassemble the bumper again and check for any loose or missed connectors. Any advice on troubleshooting this without having to go to the dealership would be greatly appreciated!
