P1CE7 and misfire codes - fixes
I apologize if this particular follow up question is already answered, I couldn’t find anything and am curious on possible solutions and clarification from those with experience.
Am I likely correct in thinking that the PCV issue was caused by the intake, and that the misfire was in turn a result of this PCV issue? I know a tune can remove the code for the PCV, but if this issue causes a misfire this route won’t accomplish anything but ensuring that I don’t get the P1CE7 code. Unless somehow it could adjust the A/F or PCV valve operation electronically, which I doubt or else it would be too easy to fix.
I am trying to determine how I should handle this moving forward, so the big question is how exactly people who have faced this problem resolved it. Should resolving the PCV issue clear up the reason for the miss? I’m assuming so, unless I do legitimately have a Vac leak in a line and the logic that it is my intake based on other’s experiences is invalid.
