Transmission filter q's
Is the MB Genuine filter identical to the Hengst or Mann filter? Anyone had any trouble with the aftermarket ones?
I'm concerned because the par numbers for the 7G-Tronic pre-Eco Start/Stop (without code A89) seem to be different to the later ones with the feature. So, I wonder if the older filter can be used with the newer transmission, or vice versa. Or if it's safer to buy the Genuin filter. But they are about three times as much money at Mercedes Australia! Thanks.

If i'm not mistaken the code has more to do with the transmission fluid rather than the filter. I know around about that time Mercedes transitioned from the red fluid to blue fluid and I am guessing they have different viscosity.
