CLS 500C
I ordered this wheels....

I yesterday purchased Dvinci DV-50 for my vehicle. The size of the wheel is 20 X 9 for front, 20 X 10 for rear. For the tires, I choosed 255/35/20 for front, 285/30/20 for rear. Do u guys think the wheel look good with ma vehicle?? (I have a iridum silver vehicle)

are they true 3-piece? they should look good with the right lip. which tire did you go with? i ordered up 20x9 F, 20x10.5 R with 245/35 and 285/30 Michellin PS2's. i went with a new, 2005 GFG wheel in chrome myself, hoping to be able to post pictures of the full setup with lowering in a week, or 2 tops. my wheels are being built now, may be complete, im waiting for the new batch of C-tronics to come over, and this damn snow to stop, then ill be ready to roll!

Adam,

Which GFG? Was looking at the trento 6's and 7's - what were you thinking? So sick of bending rims after my last Lowenharts I'll probbaly go with soemthing a little cheaper, but GFG's are off the hook - good call.

i love GFGs, i had looked at some Avus wheels, but i dont think any of their current styles fit the CLS body lines. i had considered the trentos, but everyone has the Trento 5s now, and they just knocked off their own wheel with the Giovanna Sette, its more or less the Trento7 with a lug cap instead of exposed lugs. the T7s look a little "truckish" even though ive seen them on Bentley GTs. i wanted something simple then ive gone with in the past, the CLS has a lot of "look" to it and i didnt want to spoil it with anything gaudy. look for the new GFG 2005 lineup, ill suprise you in a week or two if u cant guess which :p

i have 19" GFG Cannes from my C32 im trying to sell now, if you know anyone looking? they have some bends on the inside, nothing bad at all, the outside lips are mint. the tires arent too bad either, perfect for C or CLK.

Yeah - those trento's have become a little too common I must agree, but they look good. Can't wait to see your pics - still debating between 20's and 19's - will have to see a few more to decide - prob 20's but who knows.

jytman - I like dVinci's too and the one you chose looks cool - good cost effective wheel too - as I've said before I want a wheel that I can just throw away if it gets bent - repairs are a headache - been looking a lot at those and some others - check out the links below:

Honestly, they look like SUV wheels. I don't think they're very fitting for a Mercedes-Benz. Just my $.02...you asked.

Thanks for you guys opinion : ) . I actually worrying the same problem u thought, bm75204. The wheel I oredered looks like SUV or Truck wheel, but I'm not sure whether it looks good to ma vehicle or not cause I just choosed the wheel by some picture a store manager gave me. I wish I can change wheel if it doesn't look good. The problem is the store ordered the wheel from LA, and LA store is making benz mark emblemed cap for DV-50 Wheel, SO I m not sure.

Trust me, from experience...don't spend a lot of money on wheels without seeing actual pics (or better, in person) of the exact wheels on the type of car you're getting. I've made the mistake and regretted it. Again, just to be honest, I think these particular wheels look tacky and not at all appropriate for a classy CLS. I wouldn't even put them on a Tahoe to be really honest. There are a lot of other options out there that will fit better with the overall look and image of a Mercedes. I can understand not wanting something like Brabus or AMG that might be more common, but I'd guess that a CLS will be unique anyways on Oahu and you won't have to be worried about that.
