Does anyone know why most european luxury cars still have analog clocks.
I am ok w/ the cupholders, but the clock is 1/4 of the analog instrumentation.

I totally thought the title of your post said something else for a sec - had to read it twice...LOL. I kinda like big "clocks", but I think that's just because I'm so used to them. If I had a small clock or any other kind of clock I don't think I'd be as happy with my clock.

Because Mercedes got rid of analog clocks for a while (my CLK, G, C, and M classes do not have them, although my R129 SL500 did). When that happened, everyone complained about the change to digital clocks (including me). Now the clock is back in its rightful place and its correct mode of display.

Maybe MB should have taken some advice. "It's the quality of the tick not the quantity of the tock."

this clock should stay where it is. it's not a honda with flickering displays, it's a Mercedes-Benz - european car with european gadgets like BIG ANALOG CLOCKS
if american customers force MB to remove this clock i'll join al-kaida
