Probably a stupid question but...

This may have already been answered somewhere else, but does the CLS have a tire pressure monitoring system standard? Thought I saw one the first day, but I can't find it now and there is nothing in the owners manual on it. The owners manual by the way is about as thick as the Bible. Fun reading...LOL.

Ahhh...okay...it's weird becuase I thought someone had said it came standard on the CLS. Prob wouldn't work with 19's or 20's anyway - anyone else have any ideas on this one?

Sure not a standard in CLS. You need to install sensors in 19's or 20's. See below pictures. This is one of the factory option that I really want...

Very cool - it's so tough to tell when your tires are low on 30-40 series tires - this is a really good option.

Agree, especially the 35 series on the rear. Sometime I wonder those 20's with 305 must look pretty low all the time. I asked MBenzNL last year about my E and if I remember correctly I think they told me about $1K+ with installation. You need to remove the tires/wheels then install the sensors in each wheel.

ok, now i'm really confused. It is listed as a standard item under insrumentaion on page 29 in the brochure.

See, that's the weird thing because I thought I thumbed thru it in the instrument cluster the first day and saw it - had my aftermarket wheels on within two days and now I don't see it. I totally could be wrong though - anyone find the tire pressure system when toggling thru their menu screens in the display? Could it be that it disappears without the wheel sensors?

John, If you change the wheel then I think the TMS sensor of the wheel is gone. In order to activate it, I think you need to get the sensor from the dealer and install them to your after market wheels. PLEASE don't take my words since I am guessing all this now. Call your SA or sales to confirm.
