Theres a lot going on around this module now, better for its own thread. But, mine went in easy, installers have done it before. Havent had any probs yet, and I love the adjustability, front and rear independant with rotary adjustments, not 3 step setting like others. im giving it a few days with some friends in the car to see if i have any rubbing before taking it lower.
Are you using spacers with those offsets?

I don't like the wheels either - I guess that makes 2 in a million...but as you said, to each his own...

Well I think they work well on the car - but I personally am tired of seeing the same old Brabus, Carlsson, etc. rims on these - don't get me wrong, those rims are nice and look good, but they are the same old "safe" way to rim it up. I spent weeks trying to find something unique that I wouldn't see anywhere else on a CLS - Adam, you get props for doing something different and pulling it off - I think it's hot.

nope. refuse to use them after much past experience. GFG also states the warranty is void if u use spacers with their wheels...

john- thanks, u know where im coming from. i agree with you 100%, going with the Carlsson, Brabus or Lorinser setup is like just going with AMG from the factory, i want my own creation. Dont get me wrong as well, the setups from Brabus, Carlsson etc are bad a$$, but i like piecing together the best from each, my CLS mut

cda- youre wrong, youre actually #2 in 3 million cause i got 2 million more compliments today! thanks for your opinion!

I ordered GFG's about 2 months ago - with wrong offsets. "Diko" the owner of GFG/WTW (I don't know if I spelled his name correctly), sent me spacers through one of his warehouse distributors, to fix the problem.

I rejected the wheels.

want to know something funny, they did the same for me about 2 or 3 years back when i got my first set of GFGs, 19" Cannes. i wasnt too happy about this, but i had tried 4 sets of front wheels, 2 different manufactures, and no one could make the right offset. the spacers i used were machined with a centering ring, so if u have to use a spacer, this is the best method. i have the 2005 GFG warranty card and it specifically states if spacers are used, the warranty is void. weather they enforce this or not im not sure. i can scan if youd like...

this time im happy to be spacer free!!

No need / thanks for the offer to scan the card. GFGs (and their sister products) are in my blacklist of wheels at this point.

Nice setup! But i notice that those tires look very fat on the pictures maybe not in person but i guess its cuz the PS2 has such square sidewalls. Hows the ride?

actually, that is my only gripe. the PS2s actually have a LESS square sidewall, they taper in faster then others, so its looks like more sidewall since the armorall rides up higher and does not contact the pavement, therefore it makes the sidewall look beefier. while the tires ride great, im not happy with the side profile. i think Continentals may be a better fit for the CLS.

as far as overall ride quality after lowering and the wheels, the ride has barely been sacrificed. this was the same in my last benz with 19s. i dont know what people are talking about when they say it kills the ride. if u do high quality wheels and tires, you can maintain the ride. when i did 18s on my Lexus, i killed the ride since i had spacers, rings, and cheap tires. the CLS on 20s still rides like a dream IMO.

For tires I ran BFG g-Force KDW's - they have much "meaner" looking thread - I'll try to post some pics - I ran Nitto's back when I ahd 20's on my E, but wanted to go back to BFG's this time around since i had such a good experience with them back when I had my Lexus.

Adam, btw for the spacers on mine they just used one solid machined metal disc custom sized for the CLS - I talked to them at great length after you cautioned me to chekc on the set up and they don't and won't do them the way you had warned me against - all good - no effect to the ride whatsoever - I'll post a close up pic of the spacer with the tire later.

Thanks again for the help and advice on the spacers!

Ben Hur meets MB!!...you are missing tints on this car and as long as you're going with the bling thing, gotta go with tints.

Ben Hur meets MB?

While the wheels are on the flashy side, im not totally lookin to pimp the car, i probably wont do tints. I am planning on adding Carlsson exhaust, AMG rear deck lid, and maybe the Carlsson front lip. Then i will turn to the interior and start by replacing the wood with something like the IWC black piano lacker, or possibly Carlsson's interior.

What rap video did those wheels fall out of? Otherwise, nicely done. Seriously, I'd rethink the wheels, cheapens a beautiful car. Those belong on some lowlife's F150 or H2 or Altima.

u r crazy. these are like the first set on the street, i dare u to find another pict of them on the net or in any video for that matter. the wheels cost as much as an altima. they dont make the car look cheap either, they make the car look like its worth a lot more! i get 10 times more compliments now after adding the wheels, and this is from grown professionals, not the kiddies, although they go nuts too. like i said, i knew theyd be a little too flashy for some people, but i dont really care, same reason i didnt post any picts till it was done. thanks for the compliment though
