Well for me..a 17 yr old who loves the look of the car but cant shell out 65-70,000 for one would love to be able to sacrifice a few features and V8 for the car. Also, is there any difference in the size of the car or is it just the engine and standerd options???

thanks

I've a mix feeling about this. Whever I want a Ferrari I was thinking the same thing like you. When I'm a CLS500 owner now, I don't want to have 350 here in the US since I don't want flush it in every corner like E class. I'm sure CLS55 owners already think it should not even have CLS500. Bottom line is I think MB needs to decide where they market this vehicle to...

Thanks,
hlkc

Shouldn't dilute the market for this car - no 350's - sorry.

Not only that, I really don't think there is the same market for the 350 here in the U.S. Time will tell if I'm right no this, but so far I haven't heard any plans to bring it over to the U.S.

CLS350 aim at Asia area....
Ppl are waiting 6~8 months for 350 here, once if MB sell it to the North America, the shortage of CLS could be even worse.

In contrast, CLS500 can be delievered very soon here
Dealers have them in stock & open it in the show room.
No CLS350 show car most of the time.

Same consideration as you guys in the states
MSRP starting from $130k for CLS350, it won't flood as
W211 on the street,either :p :p
E200K, E240 ...... mostly

Shorter than I thought. You can pick up 500 in the lot anyday but I heard 55 is about 6 months to a year wait in US.

cheers,
HL

CLS55 starting from $210,000 here.
I'd say those super customers have no issue on getting any car they want.
They afford paying anything to have theirs top priority.

I'd like to wait 6 months for one. not that rich ~~~~ :p
