Air problems?
Down in Florida...95 most days now. Noticed that the air-cooled seats take an incredibly long time before I notice them cooling me down. About 30 mins. Is this normal? I mention this as I just rented a Lincoln LS whilst on vacation and that seat nearly froze my *** off after 3 minutes!!!
Find in general though, with the CLS..... the air-conditioning is not the best..perhaps it just doesn't like the FL heat? Anyone here in FL want to comment? Fault perhaps? Or do I need a cool shower beforehand? Also when you do put the blower on full from cold start..the motor in the engine compartment sounds like Concorde taking off?
Also, when do you recommend doing the first oil change? Thx.

You are right about the fan blade; it is noisy as hell. My seats are not vented so I can't comment on that. As far as the oil change, your car should prompt you.

pretty much agree with u on all points. ventilated seats feel like nothing, if anything. it seems like they are fans only, no AC flowing through them. have not compared with anything else though.
and concorde may be too subtle, sounds more like something from NASA.
im in Chicago too, not even FL...

Ventilated Seats aren't the best CLS feature. my 745 has the feature and while it doesn't frost my butt, it does cool it down in around 5 minutes or so. in fact it can get cool enough that i turn it off. wish the CLS was a bit more efficient.

Make sure your rear A/C temperature is set low and the air vents are angled toward the back of the seat. As you can see it is sucking air in from the back and if you give it cooler air it will cool down quicker.

Are you referring to the air vents in the rear and have them angled at my seat? Not sure why this would make it better? What if I turned the back air off completely?

Because the air intakes for the seat are at the rear of the front seats. Look at the back of your seat and notice the two vented areas. those are the air intakes for the active ventilation.
