If so, do you have any pictures, how low did she go, and where you got it done.

My wheels are almost here and im not sure if i should get a lowering module or wait to get it lowered via star diagnostic.

Thanx

This will sound dumb, but I could never understand how Brabus, Lorinser, etc. make money on their lowering modules if StarDiag was indeed that easy and affordable to do. Too good to be true, IMO.

I had the car lowered (cls55) one inch all around via star diagnostic and it did looked good. However, the lowering resulted into (unsafe) negative camber on the rear wheels. Since there is no camber kit available for the rear wheels to offset the negative camber, I had to raise the car back up to stock height. Will try lowering the car 1/2 inch and see what happens.

Perhaps, the lowering modules offered by Brabus, Kleemann etc. is programmed in such a way that it will not result into unsafe negative camber of the rear wheels.

Not all dealers will lower using the StarDiag however.

He may go to the US soon, but doesn't have much time to travel to many different areas. I don't know when he intends to go to the East Coast again, but we will keep you posted. Of course...

StarDiag does not take into consideration that the car lowers again at 60mph, whereas modules do. so u can get more agressive with the module. also, carlssons mod will raise the car a bit if it detects a lot of bouncing to prevent tire rubbing, something StarDiag cant do either. Like someone else said, there is a reason tuners make modules...i have the carlsson and it has been perfect, and i can adjust it whenever i want...minus i have to open the panel.

in regards to the negative rear camber, there is a kit for the CLS, i think john on this forum got it. the toe in on the rear on my CLS is not that bad, im lower the 30mm stock too. minus a little extra tire wear, i dont think it is "unsafe".

I don't see what makes the negative camber precarious. Most bimmers have it stock out of the factory.

Negative camber may or may not be precarious, it depends on the degree of negativity.
