I am in prelim. planning stage for a 2007 CLS: Pewter ext, beige leather int. I am trying to decide between the 2 wood trims available: Matte Burle Walnut vs. High Gloss Laurel Wood.

I will look at dealerships eventually but am wondering if anyone could post pictures of these 2 options please (or direct me to a link).

For those who have seen both, even if you don't have pictures, I would be interested to hear your opinion. Obviously it's a matter of personal preference, but I still am interested.

I have beige and gloss wood interior. gloss is shiny wood and matte is not shiny wood...

The Walnut is coffee brown, the laurel is honey brown -- how much contrast (dark=high vs medium=medium) do you want between the wood and the rest of the interior, that is the question.

i have silver ext w/ black interior. i wanted the matte wood but the wife thought it was cheap looking and prefered the gloss. i couldnt get my car cls55 spec'd out like i wanted it w/o the gloss wood so i went w/ it. i'm glad i did because i prefer it to the cars i have seen with the matte wood at this point. i think gloss will look better w/ a lighter interior because its darker and the contract is amazing.

in france they call that laurel matte, must be the same I guess.
