To look right on 22's it has to be lowered a lot (Like NO GAP at all)....meaning the worst ride possible due to the combo of the 22's/low pros/and lowering.....CLS's on 22's without lowering look like 4X4's.

Definitely an attention getter and show stopper on 22's....but still, compared to one on 20's with a lowering module, that looks like a little "4X4". But either way, you should do what you makes you happy. To make you understand my opinion better, a CLS on 20's without lowering looks "4X4" to me....so its all in the eye of the beholder. I think it would look 10 times better with a body kit since the gaps are below the car, not between the fender and tire. The Wald kit is pretty affordable.

It's all about being original, and you have accomplished that. Some of those pictures look photo shoppy (shoppy isn’t a word, but you get the picture) In my opinion, and remember this is only my opinion. You'll be the lonely only with 22 on this car. I'm sure we can find some country bamas in the south willing to do this with no shame, but so far you are in a class all by yourself.
The CLS is perfect with 20's and the car is even more attractive when it’s lowered via star diag, brabus module, kleeman, etc... I have an 04 RR with 22's and it looks great but I'd never imagine putting them on a car.
Not to totally dismiss 22's on a car, because I have a friendwith 22's on a 745Li and it is lower with H&R's and it looks good, but that car is larger than he CLS

I have to say that I think 20's look just a "tad" undersized on the CLS, I think 21's are perfect (3pc with a lip so that center doesnt looks so exaggerated).
The 22's are just not my personal cup of tea, although the car is not 4x4 height, it doenst maintain the proper sporty stance (notice how much higher the bottom of the front bumper looks from the ground). This is even more pronounced with the non amg bumpers since they kind of kink up anyways. To each his own and I hope you enjoy the wheels that you spent your hard on dollars on.
I think 21" deserves more contemplation though!

If you note the car has Pirelli 245/30 and 285/25-22 tires because I'm sure that 305-25 rubbed in the rear

I realize that you didn't ask for opinions but here it goes anyway it looks ridiculous don't know why you thought it would look good. I think money better spent would have been to either got the AMG pkg. or at least put a kit on it and then some 20's. Pics look kinda suspect too I'm not sure those are even on the car. Just my.02

well, I just want to apologize if anyone took my words to heart. The climate is normally fresh and festive here and I don't wanna ruin that with my bitter comments and judgements. Just remember when you post pics of your car with rims, upgrades, etc.. you are open for critisism rather good or bad, so to each his own and keep the pics coming.
