Bluetooth for Blackberry

I read that Mercedes Benz Accessories recently announced an updated bluetooth module that supports blackberries.

I was at my local dealer and they didn’t know anything about this, and I haven’t been able to find anything but the announcement online. Does anyone have intel on this? Even better, an online source?

thanks.

The dealers get their Blue Tooth stuff from the same place you do and at the same price... the MB partner on the MBNA web site that tells you what is compatible. Suggest you call them.

I have that module and I have to admit that I love it. The call quality is just amazing. It does have its issues in that it can not download the phonebook from the blackberry (other phones are supported), but I just set speed dial keys on my phone and when I need to make a call, I'll just press that key.

Overall, it is worth it.

I have the previous version of the bluetooth module. I pair it up with my BB 8700, it has been working great, the phone book down loads everytime. I wonder if you don't use other functions, e.g. internet, emails...etc. Why do you need the new module? I rather have my phone book.

jhzafrani,
you probably have the same bluetooth module that I have, which was replaced by this one in just the last couple of weeks. I can use my blackberry Pearl with it as well but I'm not able to download my contacts. At first I thought it might be the number of contacts (>3,000) in my address book but another guy on this forum has it working fine and he has more contacts that I do.
