I don't have a CLS, but since my buddy works at the MB dealership, I had him lower my E55 while doing oil change. The whole process is like less than 2 mins, and of course it's free, but then again, he's a good friend of mine, I just don't know how much the dealership will charge, it's not rocket science. Just my 2 cents

It's nowhere near 700.00
I went to my local MB dealer, not knowing anybody there. They lowered my car plus did an alignment for roughly 225.00. I think it was 105.00 for the lowering plus the 120.00 for the alignment. Make sure you do both. The same guy that does the alignment will do the lowering. They refer to it as "ride height adjustment"
