Best deals off MSRP on a new CLS550
A member of my family is looking to get into a $76,000 or so Retail Price CLS...the best I have seen so far is $11k off sticker. Anyone do any better?

It's difficult to answer your question without knowing the options on the vehicle in question. $11k off MSRP sounds about right, but again, you didn't indicate if "retail" was in fact MSRP.

Hmm, I'd love 11K off MSRP. I got $5000 off 76K sticker about 2 months ago. The 2008 model is due in August from what I hear. I had found 06 500s at 6900 off, but an "07 they were only willing to go $5000. You might get closer to $10 or $11k when the 2008s hit the ground. If you get $11K off now I'd like to know who did it.

i think there were better discounts on the 06 due the the change in engines. My brother picked up a 06 sl 500 for around 10K off also.

Bought my 2007 CLS AMG PKG PREMIUM 1 ETC. at Beverly Hills dealership great service and yes for that much off came 2 weeks later. Flew in went to dealership and 10 minutes later was gone with my car.

I got 11K off 73k MSRP Tuesday...
There is another Black on Black CLS550 at Valley Motors in Salem, Oregon
Premium 1 and wood steering wheel/knob options only.... they offered me the same deal...I went for Iridium Silver /black instead...

I was just offered $11000 off on a new 07 or $3000 off on a new 08 at MB of Miami. They only had one of each last weekend, with 5 more on the boat for August delivery.

I should clarify this was for a 2007, I don't think they're dealing much on 2008s.
I requested quotes through online discount services, I think you get better deals that way because you deal directly with a sales or fleet manager. I had quotes from multiple dealers all in the same ball park discount-wise, price was strictly related to options included. They really want the 2007s gone.
I chose this one because I wanted Obsidian Black, pkg2, Parktronic and AMG sport pkg. I took the other options cause they were already there: the Voice Control is a waste (no bluetooth and it doesn't contol the nav system), I probably won't use Distronic much and I'm perfectly capable of opening/closing the trunk myself.

my MSRP was like 72-73k and I got mine for 62k and it was a lease. So I put like 1500 with all the fees inceptions etc. and my payments are $1060 for 15,000 miles a year with tax and everything for a 39 month lease

That is almost exactly invoice price (does not include $2075 for destination & gas guzzler, and then sales tax) It probably costs me around $71,500 to take it off the lot.
Sticker is $70,885 (plus: $2075 for destination & gas guzzler, and then sales tax) Costs $76,600 off the lot.
About $5,000 discount to sticker when all is said and done.
Any thoughts on this? Any other recent 2008 CLS prices you know of? How far below invoice are dealers going on 2008s?
