I GOT MY CLS!!!! (a small problem)

I got my CLS Friday night, I hadn't posted it on here yet....it's a beauty...black on black....obsidian black...P1 Package...the only thing is I will add some nice 20's or 22's in the near future but I love it! The only thing which is weird is the Traction Control light (ESP) warning light stays on and it says "It is inoperable" and even though I press ESP button over and over...it says on the warning light so I have to take it in the dealership to get checked out on Monday....and the cruise control or speedtronic light stays on (same thing?) and says it is inoperable...it's weird because it's a brand new car!

Other than that, isn't CLS supposed to come with a phone? I did not get a bluetooth receiver (even though it is bluetooth capable) or even a cradle to put any of my phones on it.....

I appreciate all the help on here and i'm excited I got rid of my 02 G-Wagon a couple of weeks ago and have an 07' CLS 550 what a nice baby! I LOVE IT!

Exclamation cls

I'm ditching my 03 cl55agm in the fall and thinking cls55 or 63 depending on the deal...I'm also considering the e63 - I'm worried about the space in the cls as I'm 6'4 and the e63 actually fits better...do you find it tight

as for the tc light - nothing a bit of electical tape can't cover up - you'll want it off anyway all the time - people ask me always what is that yellow light - i simply say 'it allows me to go retardedly fast and almost always stick to the road - almost'....

CLS is too small for that. ur backseat passengers wont have room with u driving. E63 is a good size, pretty spacious. my dad is 6'3 and im like 6'1 and we were pretty tight in that CLS, theres no way u can have someone sitting behind the drivers seat lol.

I bought my 07 CLS550 used from a dealer in GA and having 2 other cars with TPMS(Tire Pressure Monitoring System), I knew just from looking at the valve stems, the tire pressure monitors were not on this car. Seems as though the original owner swapped wheels. He left me with AMG's(a nice gesture), but failed to have the tire pressure monitors installed back in them. The dealer ordered me some new monitors, which I have. I haven't gotten them put in because I plan to do a chrome wheel exchange and then once those come in I will have the monitors put in and wheels put on, all in one go. Hence, this is why it is telling you the system in inoperable. Your ESP button has nothing to do with it.

PS if you notice nothing but a rubber valve stem, chances are there are no monitors there. Your valve stem should look almost like it is screwed or bolted on with metal on the outside.

Just my 2 cents!

Where is Konigstiger when you need him? He'll for sure have the answer. I had a ESP light on a 2006 CLS and it also disables the cruise control. My problem was a bad steering angle sensor, fixed by the dealer. That put out the light and I regained the cruise control.

if ESP is disabled or defective, Cruise will not work. IF you have distronic, that will not work also. Bluetooth is not standard on the CLS.

The thread starter is complaining of ESP not being available. It has nothing to do with TPMS. IF TPMS is defective or sensors are absent, it will show a "TPMS NOT AVAILABLE" message and ESP will be fine still.

Did you ever get this diagnosed from the dealership? I have an 07 CLS550 and have the same problem and will be taking it in on Monday.
